What we look after
An event changes how people and vehicles use the roads around it, often for only a few hours. Instaquipt provides event traffic and pedestrian management, including:
- Road closures, set up and staffed for the hours you need
- Detour signage to move through traffic around the closure
- Pedestrian routing, so people on foot are kept clear of vehicles and plant
- The traffic plan behind it, prepared in-house
- Accredited traffic controllers on the ground for the duration
Planned by a licensed designer
We prepare Traffic Guidance Schemes and Traffic Management Plans in-house under SA Traffic Management Designer licence 184-959, and our team includes a TC3/TMI3 accredited senior traffic management designer. For an event, that means the closure points, detour routes and pedestrian paths are worked out by the same company that will set them up on the day. See traffic management plans and TGS design for more on how that works.
Crews and vehicles
All 20 Instaquipt staff are directly employed — no labour hire — and every member of our field team is DIT accredited. The crew arrives in our own Tier 1 compliant 2025 Mitsubishi Triton traffic utes, fitted with roof-mounted arrow boards, amber beacons and work lighting, and carrying cones, signage and stands. Our equipment also includes Arrowes EStop portable traffic signals.
Events rarely run on business hours. We work after-hours, nights and weekends, and have 24/7 callout capability. Heat management and wellbeing plans are documented for the conditions our crews work in, which matters for long outdoor days in an Adelaide summer.
What to send us
To price event traffic management, we need to understand the event and the roads around it. A useful enquiry includes:
- The event name, location and the streets you expect to affect
- Dates, plus the times for set-up, the event itself and pack-down
- Roughly how many people you expect, and where they will arrive and leave
- Whether you need full closures, partial closures or pedestrian control only
- Any conditions already set by the council or venue
Send it through the enquiry form on this page or call 0424 325 115. We will come back to you with a price.
Paperwork for event organisers and contractors
Whoever is running the event will usually need to see our documentation. We hold Safe Work Method Statements for traffic control, 27 documented company policies, $20 million public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance, and keep digital dockets, timesheets and site photos for every shift. Instaquipt is South Australian owned and operated from our depot at Wingfield, covering metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia.
