Traffic control in Adelaide, from crews we employ directly

Accredited traffic controllers for civil, utility and construction works across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia — with our own Tier 1 compliant utes and the safety paperwork your site needs before day one.

Who we supply

Instaquipt provides traffic control and traffic management crews to principal contractors, utilities and other traffic management companies. Clients include Downer, BMD, Telstra, Zancott, Action Traffic Solutions and Adelaide Traffic Control. Jobs range from a single controller on a utility job to a full work zone setup with a designed Traffic Guidance Scheme.

All 20 of our staff are directly employed. We do not use labour hire, so the people who turn up on your site are our people: trained to the same standard, working to the same procedures, and often the same faces from one shift to the next. Every member of our field team is DIT accredited.

What a crew comes with

A booked crew arrives with everything needed to set up and run the work zone. You are not paying for us to source equipment at the last minute — it is our own fleet, maintained from our own depot in Wingfield.

  • Accredited controllers at the level your job needs — our team holds TC1/TMI1, TC2/TMI2 and TC3/TMI3 accreditations, plus a TMA operator
  • A 2025 Mitsubishi Triton traffic ute, Tier 1 compliant, with a roof-mounted arrow board, amber beacons and work lighting
  • Cones, signage and stands carried in a mesh load cage
  • Arrowes EStop portable traffic signals where the scheme calls for them
  • Reverse squawkers, first aid and fire equipment
  • Work zone set up to the scheme, with prestart and daily site inspection records
  • Digital dockets, timesheets and site photos for every shift

How booking works

Send us the site address, the dates, the shift times and what you think you need — by phone on 0424 325 115 or through the enquiry form on this page. We will come back to you by email with a price. If the job is urgent, ring rather than email.

If you do not yet have a Traffic Guidance Scheme for the work, we can prepare one in-house. Our traffic management plan and TGS design service works under SA Traffic Management Designer licence 184-959, and the crew that sets up your site is working from a scheme our own designer prepared.

The paperwork, ready before the crew

Principal contractors usually ask for the documentation before they ask for the crew. Ours is already written and current, so it can go into your prequalification or site induction pack without a delay:

  • Safe Work Method Statements for traffic control
  • 27 documented company policies (the IQ-POL series)
  • Work zone traffic management (WZTM) procedure
  • Heat management and wellbeing plans
  • Public liability insurance of $20 million, and professional indemnity insurance

Nights, weekends and short notice

A lot of road and utility work happens when traffic is lightest. We run after-hours, night and weekend shifts, and we have 24/7 callout capability for emergency and short-notice work. Heat management and wellbeing plans are documented for the conditions our crews will be working in, which matters on long summer shifts.

Where we work

Our crews and vehicles are based at 73 South Terrace, Wingfield, and we work across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia. Instaquipt is South Australian owned and operated. If you only need the vehicle and already have your own accredited people, see traffic ute hire.
